It is a new year and that means it’s time to register your alarm system with the City. The City of Rochester Hills requires that residential and commercial alarm systems be registered with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
The City’s False Alarm Ordinance states, “[w]ithin ten business days of installation of an alarm system, the alarm user shall register their alarm with the sheriff’s department.” (Sec. 42-33) In addition, “[b]y January 30 of each year, all alarm users shall renew their alarm user registration permit with the sheriff’s department.” To comply with the registration requirement, complete the False Alarm Registration Form and email it to rhalarms@oakgov.com.
